Proxima® 2 Drainable bag

Proxima® 2 is a cost-effective range of ostomy pouches. The Proxima® 2 drainable 2-piece pouches have to be used with a Proxima® 2 or Proxima 2+ base plate of corresponding size. The pouches present a large outlet for ileostomy or colostomy stools evacuation.

  • Odor proof plastic film + washable micro perforated backing material on the skin side of the pouch

  • Available in beige for more discretion, and transparent for visual control after surgery

Two-piece drainable pouches for collection of body effluents for any person having undergone intestinal surgery of the enterostomy type.

Proxima® 2 - how to apply the base plate and the drainage pouch

Prepare all the required material for the pouch set up.
Measure the diameter of the ostomy with a stoma measurer.
Mark the base plate.
Cut the base plate with the required size.
Hold the skin with one hand, and with theother, peel off the pouch from top to bottom.
Clean the area in contact with the skin protector with water and neutral soap.
Heat the gum between your hands to enhance adherence.
Remove the release paper.
Lift the skin to make it smooth.
Place the base plate around the stoma.
Fill with pasta (e.g. Superfiller) where the protector does not cover the skin.
To connect the pouch to the base plate, hold the locking system up, and place the base plate from the bottom.
Press with the fingers along the ring to the top.
You will hear a “click” when the locking system is closed.
Close the pouch with the flexible clamp.
