Pediatric pain management
Relieve the pain of children in your care effectively and reduce the risks of adverse reactions.
Pain is perceived individually and differs between adults and children – the notion of pain and suffering in children extends well beyond a pure sensory experience1 and children often have difficulties in expressing their sensations properly.

of hospitalized pediatric patients suffer from moderate to severe pain after surgery.2
Oral Ibuprofen has been a longstanding remedy for managing mild to moderate pain in children arising from various causes.5 However, there are limitations in administering oral analgesics, as a significant number of hospitalized patients may encounter difficulties in ingesting and/or tolerating enteral medications.6
Ibuprofen B. Braun 200 mg solution for infusion, one of the first line treatments for mild to moderate pain in pediatrics, can now be administered independently from patient’s ability or willingness to swallow a tablet and without causing children’s fear of rectal insertion or intramuscular injection.7-10

With regard to the multimodal pain management approach, Ibuprofen B. Braun is a good complement to the existing Paracetamol B. Braun. The portfolio offers two non-opioid analgesics for pediatric patients, to ensure the option of a holistic and tailored strategy for pain relief, allowing pediatric patients to recover with comfort and speed.
